Darren’s first assignment at the Mill was in 1988 as an engineer in training. Since then, he has been engineer-of-record on a number of large rehabilitation projects ranging from crane runway upgrades, dust extraction systems, ingredient handling to casting area modifications. His process engineering knowledge and rapport with field staff has been especially helpful to Gerdau Ameristeel during plant shutdowns.
